Cake, plums and Mickey Mouse
June 25th, 2008
Meeting students outside of the academy is definitely worth it as today’s haul proves :D I picked up some caramel cake from Suzie who I saw with her mother on Sunday outside Home Plus. She’s outrageously adorable and she will definitely break some hearts when she’s older.
The second gift was a plum from Emily and her mother who I just saw on my way home from work just now. She said hello and then her mother gave her a plum to give to me ^^
You’ll also notice the blue Mickey Mouse phone charm that Elisha gave me. She gave me a red one yesterday but asked if she could change it this afternoon. I’m not fussed what colour is but I know I want to have more phone charms :P
Strange Korean hand game
June 23rd, 2008
At the end of my penultimate class today I witnessed what has to be one of the most obscure games in history. I’ve never seen anything like it and I couldn’t really fathom the rules behind it. I told them we didn’t have games like this in England but I suppose we do. They certainly aren’t played as often as this though and also, we don’t hit each other as much for losing.
Sometimes they ask me if I’ll play but I don’t want to be hit and I don’t want to hit them either. It would be just my luck that a parent would walk by and see me hitting a student XD
배틀 - Shuffle Dance

Just watch around 1:38 for Ryu kicking Chris’ ass because he keeps slapping him on the arm XD
NOOKA
June 21st, 2008

NOOKA
I really want to buy one of these NOOKA watches but I don’t really know what colour. Anyone who’s bored and fancies helping me out could check out the site and link me to the one they like.
I’m interested in the simple rubber style in the picture and I need a colour that works with most clothes. I love orange but maybe yellow would be good too ^^
File Naming
June 19th, 2008

I was looking through my live performances and thought about maybe changing my naming convention to make it easier to find groups of songs. Right now I group them by music show then date, then artist - song.
How does everyone else organise their files? Would it be better to organise by artist primarily and then I could include date and music show on the end? Just looking for ideas and opinions right now :)
[PERF] 배틀 - Step By Step
June 19th, 2008
I finally got ahold of the comeback performances on SBS Inkigayo and KBS Music Bank and they’re awesome :D
[2008.06.13] KBS Music Bank
[2008.06.15] SBS Inkigayo
I love the new style even more now that I’ve seen it in live performances and now I can’t wait for my new shoes XD I thought I had listened to this song too much but every time I listen to it, it gets stuck in my head again.
2008 Super Triple Concert
June 16th, 2008

At the time of arriving home last night, my Nikon D50 contained 847 photos from the 2008 Super Triple Concert. After I got them into iPhoto I ended up with 315 because the lighting made it particularly difficult to get clear shots. I think I’m going to buy a new lens for my camera because I just need higher quality photos next time XD
Three more added
June 15th, 2008

Looks at what I boughts yesterday :D I was lucky to find them all in a little CD store on the way to 신촌 that I mentioned in my previous post.

Three more posters added to Alex’s ‘Wall of :D’. Super Junior Happy is just to my left as I type this, Wonder Girls are next to Sonyuhshidae and Battle are to the left of my bed.
[진선] 신촌
June 15th, 2008
It was strange not getting off the bus at Seoul Station as usual but 진선 was waiting for me there after her exam. She walked me to her university and we looked around the garden on campus.

The weather was really good so we decided to walk to 신촌 instead of taking the bus, but not before I picked up a little present for one of my students whose birthday is it next Tuesday. I also picked up the three CDs and posters I wanted in one shop. Pictures to come ;) Afterwards we headed to Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up. As you can see below, we are teh dorks XD

We walked on to 신촌 and had a look around at some shops. The Hyundai Department Store looked appealing to us because it has air conditioning so we looked around at the clothes. 진선 found some really nice Converse trainers that she wanted and so did I but they didn’t have our sizes >> We were not amused…

By this time we were getting a bit hungry so we started looking for somewhere to eat spaghetti and soon found a little place. We both had carbonara and it was really good. We had an annoying waiter who kept treating me like an idiot and speaking English. I hate when they do that.

We walked around some more and looked at a few shops, including one where I tried on a hat XD I don’t really agree with hats but 진선 said it looked OK and that I should really get some for Summer. It started to get dark and we had been planning to go to the cinema today so we went and got tickets for Indiana Jones which was really good as it happened. I’m going to see Kung Fu Panda next weekend too. We grabbed a drink in Starbucks while we waited for the movie.

Check out the gallery for the complete set of pictures :)
