BIG BANG'S BIG SHOW

Last night was the single greatest event I’ve ever attended. My head is still a bit of a blur about the details and my recollection of the set list is dodgy, but I just know that it was awesome. There will be a podcast in the next post, so here will just be some shots I took outside before the concert and one or two that I snapped inside, before they told me to stop.

What Was Great About Yesterday

  • See fans dressed in strange costumes
  • Being helped by cute fans in the queue
  • Being told to put my camera by the ‘Men in Black’
  • The opening performance of ‘????’
  • The solo performances
  • They performed ‘Wonderful‘! :D

I’m a little disappointed with myself for not taking more pictures before the concert but when you’re a foreign guy in a sea of fangirls, you do feel a little exposed. I wanted to join the queues and get the books and buy the goodies but I just couldn’t bring myself to be embarrassed. I really need to go with a friend next time.

I’ll leave talking talking about the concert itself to the podcast because I think it will come back to me better if I’m speaking. Look out for that next.

Concert Goodies

Here’s some pictures of the concert goodies that I picked up after the concert finished. I wasn’t able to get anything else because the fangirls got in the way, but I was happy to get something. From left to right, we have my hoodie, my photo folder and my Big Bang scarf.

    This is actually the 4th time I just find myself on your blog, and I can't help but think that's quite unusual, as long as foreigners I do know in Korea, especially boys, don't care much about BB -even kinda hate them.

    I'm starting studying in Seoul this September for at least 4 years, and one of my goals there is to attend one of their concerts, and manage to get in their fanclub too. I heard that 3rd VIP Registration was over, right ? And how did you get the tickets ? I know it disappears in, like, 4 minutes ? :o

    By the way, are you going to Asia Song Festival ?

    And I think that's all for the moment. I'm still impressed on how you went past prejucices about BB and all the K-pop thing :)

    I was lucky enough to have a friend who helped me buy the tickets. There are only a few sites I can use without a credit card.

    I'd like to go to the Asia Song Festival, but I don't know if I can get tickets.

    I have nothing against French people as long as they have nothing against the English xD

    I was actually looking for a Big Show setlist, but I found my way here instead. It's awesome that you made it to the concert! BB's energy is awesome just watching their concert DVDs, and their other performances! You're pretty lucky to get a ticket... Would be pretty hard for someone who can't read korean to figure it out.

    Would probably have gone alone too if I had the chance (: I'm 22, and would definitely find it weird screaming on my own, especially since I've only just gotten into Kpop fandom :D

    Anyway, it's strange that they're so strict on the cameras - there are tons of fancam videos on youtube now.

    The Epik High concert is going to be really good!

    wow you are really lucky! i went for tha bangkok concert and it was a blast. i would really like to go for a concert in seoul someday too :)))

    it seems like there ain't many fancams this time.. hmm were they pretty strict about taking photos and videos?
  • Hi Sarah. Yes, unfortunately they were very strict on picture taking. I was told off when I took some pictures of the stage before they even came out.

    while you are enjoying The Big Show, i was watching Global Warning Concert DVD!!

    i was almost hysterical and felt so giddy watching it live from the DVD!!! hohoho..

    i can't imagine myself going to the real concert of Big Bang! bet i'll get OD of excitement and being super hyped...^^

It's too bad you couldnt find someone to go with, but glad to know you had fun. I cant wait for your podcast. Btw, im so jealous...ajasdfdj 10ft away *dies* i was able to go to the Great concerts in 2007, and im planning to see BB in concert on their next one, so maybe next time if i get to go, we can be concert buddies ^^

    Haha. We definitely need to go together one day. As a 25 year old fan, I felt quite awkward at having to be surrounded by screaming fans while I was the only one not screaming as much.
    At least girls, were nice to you. Me and my friends received some 50 wierd and rude stares for being foriegners. LoL.

    You took some great photos. I think I was more in shock than anything to even take anything decent.
    And of course, not to mention traumatized by the 'Men in Black' for getting caught recording the performances.

    But wasn't it hella good? =D I can't wait to hear more of your thoughts.

    Where were you seated by the way?
    My standing area was on the left side of the stage. And did you get to see all 5 up close at least?

    I was seated on the right of the stage as you looked at it, in the section closest to the stage. I was within about 10ft of them.
    And yes, I went alone.

    It's so cute how you said that it was the "single greatest event I’ve ever attended"... I'm sure it was!! I've only seen pictures and fancams, and I can tell that it was awesome!!

    Man.. I wish I could have been there... But no... I have to be in the states.. Attending classes and finishing labs... ewwww... LOL!!!

    I cannot wait to hear your podcast!!! Don't post it too late... I want to hear about it before I go to bed!!! I have class in the morning... LOL!!!

    Oh!! And don't forget to tell us what your favorite performance was!! I'm excited about that!!! (I already know... that if I was there, my favorite performance(s) would have been TaeYang's and then G-Dragon's solos!!!!)
