진선’s Late Birthday Present

Finally got to meet with JinSeon and give her 魂 – Map the Soul for her birthday. We had pizza at Mr.Pizza, then hot chocolate at Angel-in-Us Coffee while we talked about Epik High and the joys of wireless Internet access on her new iPod touch.

We met in Hongdae because she had to go back to university and work on her assignments after we had finished. It was good to see her again after what felt like a long time. Hopefully, once she’s got her assignment load under control, we’ll be bale to meet up again and for a little longer.

I had mentioned that I wanted to eat pizza because I was starving and because I had a coupon, so we went to Mr.Pizza and ordered two regular pizzas. Actually, I ordered them thinking we’d be able to finish them but my eyes were bigger than my belly and she ended up taking about two thirds of a pizza back for her brother. It was good to sit down and natter about things despite both of us knowing she was going to cut it short and go to finish her assignments.

Once we had sat for a while and I had failed at getting a waitresses attention, we moved to Angel-in-Us for some hot chocolate. I was still full after the pizza, so I just sat and rested while she opened her CD and we both played with our iPods. She has the newer model which made mine feel old and poorly equipped. I allowed myself to consider upgrading to the latest model for a split second and then banished the thought from my mind.

We finished chatting and waited at the bus stop for my bus. We’ll meet again soon and there will be more pictures and news. It’s been a while since we just hung out and acted like dorks. Bring on the Summer!
