‘Night at the Museum 2′ with 아람

용산역Today I met with 아람 again and watched Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian at CGV, Yongsan. Thankfully, 아람 felt that I was worthy of another chance after the last time, and I’m glad she did because we had a good lunch and natter today. After the movie, we sat outside with a coffee and chatted about a great many cultural differences.

The bus hit a bit of a traffic on the freeway and as such, I was late by half an hour. Luckily, 아람 is a forgiving person and she forgave me after a trip to Baskin Robbins for some Apple Mint Ice Cream. We had a chat as we ate and then decided to head over to the cinema to see the movie.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

I enjoyed the first movie a lot and have quite happily watched it a few more times since I’ve been in Korea. This one was definitely on a much bigger scale and I really liked it. There were some funny moments as you’d expect, but the main bad guy just got on my nerves. The story was good though and I liked that they were around a bigger space than in the previous movie. I think it would have benefited from a few less characters, and a little more time spent on the ones they had. I guess they might have lost some of the scale if they’d have done that though.

Lei Storia Coffee & DeliAfter the movie, we went to a pasta restaurant to have some lunch. I had a chicken pasta and she had a chili bacon pasta. We talked a lot more and even sat around for about twenty minutes after we’d finished. We weren’t ready to go home, but we had no other plans, so we went downstairs to Lei Storia Coffee & Deli to get a coffee and sit out on the steps.

The weather was good all day and out on the steps, it was very comfortable. It was particularly noisy though because of the Mexican music band performing at the top, but it was nice to have some good music in the background. While we were there, I decided to take a small video so you could see the view that we had. Nothing much of interest, but you do get to see some Korean people walkingyay!

View from 용산역We sat and talked about various things for about two hours I think. I really hope she didn’t get bored and want to head home. As I mentioned previously, it’s so nice to speak to someone who’s been to the UK and knows more about it than what they might read in the news. We talked a lot about some of the every day cultural differences between the two countries. We both laughed a lot, so I take that as a good sign that we might become good friends.

Tomorrow is my meeting with 예진 to see Drag Me To Hell, so there will be another blog post after that. I’ll try and take the camera with me tomorrow and get some better pictures.
