I‘d like you to meet Junior 1-4, soon to be Junior 1-5. The reading and speaking is done, and the speaking presentation was completed on Monday. Since there was nothing left to do and no new book, Cindy granted them permission to have a Snack Party. This basically meant free time and that in turn means cell phones out!
The students always enjoy taking embarrassing pictures of me and then showing them to everyone else. This time, I was trying to get my own back, but the Haptic camera is too damn slow and so I could only really get them when they weren’t paying attention or when they agreed to pose. Stella and Sonya in particular didn’t want their pictures taken, but I managed to get a few of each with my Camera Ninja skills.
In the video, you can see each student quite clearly. I call out their names so you can identify them and below, I’ll write a little about each student and what they’re like.
A Summary of Each Student
- Nick is a pain in the backside a lot of the time but speaks good English.
- Mark used to be a problem student but is much better now.
- Laura is a bit of a tyke but she’s also a good student.
- Stella is a favorite student of mine and is always smiling.
- Lina is the sister of Lisa from this class.
- John is the big brother of Julia, also from this class.
- Sonya is really quiet but quite adorable at the same time and she has an infectious smile.
I took a few more pictures throughout the lesson which I have set out below. If you watch the video, then you’ll be able to pick out the students and identify them in the pictures. You’ll notice a lot of Laura in the pictures as she seems to be quite a camwhore. Unfortunately, you can’t see that many of Mark because whenever he was near me, he was trying to stick his phone in my eye to take pictures.

omg cuteness. These kids get their cell phones at such a young age. I practically had to beg for mine and I don’t think its half as cool as theirs.
Uhm. Just curious aren’t they korean? Why do they have english names? Not many do right…? Unless you’re a celeb…or from overseas no?
Anyway I think its very cute to be bonding like that. In Malaysia you’re not allowed your cell phones in school. ):
They’re learning English, so they are given English names, usually by their school or academy where they study.
You’re not allowed cell phones in class over here either :P
awww alex your students are wonderful! It must be so rewarding to teach such cute kids :) xxx
It can be :)
