As you can see, I have been true to my word and kept my fandom chatter limited to this post. This is the second fandom round-up podcast and I have a lot more to talk about than in the first, so I’ll have to be quick if I’m going to keep the podcast under 10 minutes. I hope you enjoy the colourful video effects this week, but with burning my head and having a book thrown in my face, I’m not feeling like exposing it on the Internet.

My initial reaction to the song was one of mild interest. That said, I wasn’t really that smitten with Gee when it came out and I ended up really liking it. My opinion always changes a little after the first week of debut stages.

Their performances have improved and this makes me happy. I was hoping that they wouldn’t just remain as a group that netizens could keep hassling. Work is still needed though with individual members performances not being up to par.

Considering all the hype surrounding this supposed scandal when the news hit, I’m quite surprised by the outcome. It appears that he’ just getting a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again. I am kind of pleased though because I like him and hope it gives him a chance to redeem himself.

The music video has finally been released and it’s not bad. It’s not going to be a music video that I watch over and over, but it’s alright. To be fair, the ‘Gee‘ music video was the same. I might watch it if I want to be reminded of the gorgeous ladies, but that’s it.

We always knew it was going to be a success but it was received better than even I expected. They sounded good and I will definitely watch it again. They also won an award for the ‘Best Selling Song of 2009‘.
