Alex & 진선 Comeback Stage in 용산!

Despite the heavy downpour today in both Incheon and Seoul, I met with 진선 in 용산 and we partook in a mighty comeback stage as it were. We ate, walked, drank and talked. Oh, and I bought a new electric shaver. It was a good day. Dork-ish pictures under the cut.

The reason it felt like a comeback stage was because the last time I saw 진선 was back before the MAP THE SEOUL concert, so I had plenty of goodies to give her from there, and plenty to catch up on. We talk online a bit, but it’s usually only for a short time and then, only about every day things.

Seeing as we don’t know when we’ll be able to catch up again, we took some pictures which you’ll now get to see. Be warned, these are probably not work safe. Or home safe. Or any kind of safe in general.

Lunch at Saboten

My lunch was the chicken curry and 진선 had the chicken in broth, the name of which I completely forget. I’ve been to Saboten before and the food is alright, although perhaps a little pricey in comparison to other places for what you’re getting. I always think they could give you a little more chicken, but then again I think that about most places.

I used the time waiting for the food to arrive to give her some of the gifts I had bought at the concert. I gave her the LOST MAPS #001 CD and the cell phone strap which she seemed very pleased with. She said she had taken her old phone charm off yesterday evening in preparation which is a little freaky. The food came and we ate while talking about family and what was happening these days.

Some Shopping Around Yongsan

After our lunch, we had a walk around for the CD store where 진선 bought two Clazziquai albums. I was trying to make her buy another, but she wouldn’t. I looked at the FT Island album, CROSS & CHANGE, but decided to wait for the repackage to come out. The poster would have gotten wet in the rain anyways.

Next we headed into the electronics mall to find an electric shaver for me. My current one, I’ve had for about two years and it’s starting not to shave very convincingly. I hoped that a new one would stop some of the irritation on my chin and make me look more handsome and awesome. There were cameras, lenses for cameras, MP3 players, TVs and air conditioners, but none of the shaver that I wanted. There were shavers dotted around, but they were all really old models and when we did find one from the range below what I wanted, the guy told us that there weren’t any of the good ones around. Alex was unamused.

Grabbing a ‘Blueberry Coolatta’ at Dunkin’ Donuts

진선 had wanted to go here after we’d finished lunch, but it was a bit busy and we couldn’t see any seats, so we decided to go shopping first. She suggested a 블루베리 쿨라타 and I usually don’t turn down beverages made with blueberries. It really was gorgeous. I was surprised at quite how strong the flavor was and it really hit the spot.

Although it wasn’t sunny today, the rain made the whole place extremely humid. I took the chance to give her the other presents from the concert and we played around with each other’s iPods.

Also, we decided to take some pictures of each other. I’m sorry there aren’t more of me, but I just wasn’t looking very attractive today and I deleted a handful of them that she took. It was then that she alerted me to the fact that my carefully crafted plans to meet Crystal tomorrow would most likely need to be rethought. I had assumed the weather was going to be good on Sunday because that’s what the weather news had been telling me all week. Apparently not. Storms. All day.

That’s right! As much as I appreciate that you might be able to see me in the picture after I disguised myself perfectly like a ninja, I’m here to tell you that I am in this picture. You can just make out this feint image of a complete dork behind a hand. If you can’t see it, squint, tilt your head a little to the left and stand on one leg.

I don’t know why, but today, 진선 was giving me some scathing looks that just screamed, “I want to kill you…” She has this uncanny ability to turn it on and off as you can see in the above four pictures. Good. Bad. Good. Bad.
