Today marked the switch to the summer schedule, much to my surprised. I just thought we were coming in early to put together the schedule for the summer classes, but apparently not. Thanks for the heads up. Oh yea, and Laura seems to think I “look like monkey.” I’ve had to work hard for that respect you know.
“It’s OK. Monkey is very cute, but dirty.”
Junior 2-4. Lora. She said I look like a monkey. Comparing the above image to my most recent photos, would you agree? It gets better. When I asked if she’d draw Cindy, she did, and apparently Cindy looks like a person. The conversation went a little something like this:
Laura “Alex, you look like monkey.”
Alex “What?”
Laura “You look like monkey.”
Alex “Why do I look like a monkey.”
Laura “Your face is like monkey.”
Alex “Why?”
Laura “I don’t know.”
Alex “Right, thanks.”
*Laura drops a picture*
Laura “You look like this.”
Alex “What?! I do not.”
Laura “Yes.”
Alex “What about Cindy? What does she look like?”
Laura “She is like a person.”
Alex “I’ll remember that.”
Laura “It’s OK. Monkey is very cute, but dirty.”
Alex “…“
Alex will not forget this.
Summer Schedule Begins on the Quiet
Oh yea, and the Summer schedule started today without my knowledge. It just kind of happened when I got there and there were already students milling about the place. Everyone kept asking me what was going on and then getting angry at me because I had no idea.
I have to start teaching the Special Class tomorrow and every afternoon, first thing, from now on. It’s a mixture of Junior 1-2 and Junior 1-3 which are both noisy and problematic classes for me. The class includes Sean – the boy who wants to kill me. Yay.
