Because of the me2DAY translations that I do for fun on the blog, I have recently been asked to translate other articles. A friend over at Let’s Play: 2NE1 asked me to translate today’s YG message regarding 2NE1 [translated], G-Dragon [translated] and Taeyang [translated].
As always, please appreciate that these are only amateur translations, so there may well be some errors.

그 흔한 티져 영상도 없이 “웨딩드레스” 공개 소식만 간략하게 알리는 YG의 무성의해 보이는 홍보 방식에 대해서도 불만이 많으시리라 생각됩니다.열심히 준비한 앨범의 수록 곡들을 더 많이 알리고 싶은 욕심이야 가수와 기획사, 팬들의 마음이 모두 일치한다고 봅니다만 오프라인 음반판매가 주를 이루던 수 년 전과 달리…..음반 발표와 함께 전곡이 온라인에 공개되는 요즘과 같은 상황 속에서 후속 곡 활동은 예전처럼 쉬운 일이 아닌 것 같습니다.
온라인 인기차트 1위곡이 일주일을 유지하기 힘들만큼 요즘 음악을 듣는 대중들의 패턴도 매우 빨라졌다고 보여지는데, 온라인 음원의 영향으로 많은 신곡들과 가수들의 잦은 컴백 때문인지 후속 곡 활동에 난색을 표하는 방송사의 입장도 국내 가요 시장의 변화된 모습이라 생각됩니다.
많은 사랑을 받았던 2NE1의 첫 번째 미니앨범도 결국 후속 곡 활동을 진행하지 않았는데요.
“Heartbreaker” 이후 “Breathe”와 “소년이여” 로 짧은 방송 활동을 이어가고 있는 지드레곤
역시 후속 곡 활동 이라기 보다는 앨범 활동이라고 보시는 것이 좋을 듯합니다.
때문에 4편의 뮤직비디오를 제작하게 된 것인데요.태양 프로모션의 경우, 태양의 요구에 따라 가급적 오래 활동 할 수 있는 방법에 초점을 맞추었는데
얼핏 보면 몇 차례의 싱글 발표 이후 정규앨범을 발표하는 전형적인 미국방식과 비슷합니다만 다른 점은 후속 곡을 먼저 공개 하고 타이틀곡은 정규 앨범 발표와 함께 공개하는 역순이라는 점입니다.다시 말해 이전에 발표한 첫 번째 디지털 싱글곡인 “WHERE U AT” 은 정규앨범의 1번 트랙에

Taeyang’s second digital single,
< Wedding Dress >Tomorrow (November 13th), Taeyang’s second digital single, “Wedding Dress” will be released.
Following his song “WHERE U AT”, Taeyang will release his second digital single ‘Wedding Dress’ on the 13th of November. The track was jointly composed by Teddy and Taeyang and will be promoted strongly until the end of the year. The plan is also to release the music video on the same day.
We understand that a lot fans have been anticipating the new release and the fact that we didn’t promote “WHERE U AT” at all, disappointed a lot of them. We also wanted to release more teasers but we’ve been spending a lot of time working on his comeback and with the new trend of online debuts and releases, it’s not easy to do these both at the same time.
Releasing a single and then an album several months later is an American concept, but this is different in that we’re releasing a ‘follow up song’ before the full album. “WHERE U AT” is the first single and “Wedding Dress” is the ‘follow up’. “WHERE U AT” is a prelude to the album and will appear as the first track when the album is released.
As it stands, the preparation for Taeyang’s comeback is complete. Last month, we enlisted a lot of help from foreign artists for both “WHERE U AT” and “Wedding Dress”. Taeyang’s solo comeback after one and a half years starts tomorrow. I predict that the results will be very strong and will equal the work we put into the preparation.

G-Dragon’s solo concert is set for the 5th and 6th of December at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastic Stadium and he will not be performing on TV shows until that time.

I think because a lot of the YG Family was off doing other things.
i think the last YG Fam concert was in 2007(?) And it was title “The One Concert” or something like that. yep, like Alex said, mostly b/c other YG artists were busy or inactive.

Same here, I wish I could attend his concert as well… If he comes to the USA, I will definitely attend the concert!
I also wish foreigner can join BB’s official fans club. I noticed that they started opening foreigner membership for 2NE1, but they only accepted wire transfer for payment. And my bank charged the same amount of fee as the membership fee itself so… I decided not to join this time -_-;;

I don’t know about the US because I’m from the UK originally and now I live in Korea. I do think there is a solid enough fanbase though :)
