Unfortunately, I came in from work a little late and missed the start of the SBS Gayo Daejeon. I actually turned on when CL was performing G-Dragon’s Heartbreaker, so a lot of the performances had to be watched online. Check out my show highlights, under the cut!
Boy Groups
I love A Friend’s Confession by 2AM, so this was a no brainer for me. Davichi sang really well and delivered a really good performance too.
I like how this remix version of SHINee’s Ring Ding Dong started off painfully, then ended up sounding like a Gundam OP. I liked it a lot.
This was a pretty good remix of Again & Again. I’d liked to have seen this on their album.
This Special Ending Ver. of Heartbeat got in here because it made me sit and watch it all the way through.
Girl Groups
KARA and f(x) did Ring Ding Dong by SHINee justice and it ended up being one of my favorite performances from the girl groups.
I find After School impressing me more and more since their return and this performance of Because Of You was fantastic.
KARA, and specifically Nam Gyuri, looked really sweet in their doll costumes.
I want to know why Brown Eyed Girls haven’t dressed like this before when they have performed SIGN. They looked great.
As soon as I saw this performance of Gee tagged with Pajama Version, I knew it was for me. Tiffany totally forgot to sing her part on the bed and Sooyoung poked her about it.
YG Special Stages
This is where I came in and all that needs to be said is – CL was performing G-Dragon’s Heartbreaker. Done.
I don’t like the song, but G-Dragon and CL on the stage, together, at the same time is always going to be good.
Heartbreaker is obviously one of my favorite songs from his album and he sang the Rock Version from his two concerts.
Gossip Man has also become a favorite song of mine and his performance of it live was great. The 2PM suit had me laughing, along with the hair.
Taeyang pulled it all out for a great performance of Wedding Dress. That was one lucky girl, according to all the female fans I spoke to.
Korean Dream would be the best stage from almost any night and I loved it. I just wish that it was less of an afterthought, and sharper in terms of dancing.
Michael Jackson Tribute
Lee Seungi Gi surprised a lot of people with his dance moves for Smooth Criminal.
I knew that when Super Junior came out to perform Billie Jean, that it was going to be good, and it was.
I said on Twitter that if there wasn’t a good performance of Beat It, I’d be really disappointed and to be honest, I was.
Boys Become Girls
I think the boys really got 4minute’s MUZIK, especially Shindong.
Despite Yoosub trying to run off stage at first, and Nickhun/Wooyoung not having baggy enough pants, it was good.
