Permission to replace 준수 in this video? I rarely watch rehearsal clips because I’m a lazy, bad fan but I thought I’d check this out because I adore 유빈 [in a fan-ish way only, obviously]. Ahh, it was worth it because they look really good together and yea, I want to replace him .___. *gets flailed*

It is the morning after the MKMF 2008, hence the bowl of cereal. After seeing all the posts regarding it on my friends list [there really should be a single community for it all], I thought I should just mention some bits that piqued my interest. First, let’s take a look at the winners of the important bits:

I wasn’t surprised that 원더걸스 won the ‘Best Song‘ because people have been talking about it for ages and it was huge online. I’m also not really surprised that 빅뱅 won the ‘Best Artist‘ because they have been hitting it with their mini albums since MFMF 2007. I do wish people would stop crying over 동방신기 not winning best artist though. I know they have a huge following and I’m definitely one of their fans but they did spend a long time out of the country while 빅뱅 and 원더걸스 were kicking it back here in the homeland. That said, they did win ‘Best Album‘ which was expected as 빅뱅’s came out a bit too late and 원더걸스 are happy to continue promotions for ‘Nobody‘.

I watched some of the performances on the TV over here but I wasn’t really in the mood to sit through it last night, but I did catch them this morning online. 동방신기’s performance of ‘Wrong Number‘ was pretty excellent despite, 1) Micky’s stupid hair colour and 2) Hero’s stupid feather boa. I thought the ‘Scandalous Stage‘ was pretty good but maybe I’d just have preferred a mini concert from 빅뱅 instead great :D I watched it again and I think it deserves far more praise than I gave it. Having said that, it was perfect either. I thought 태양 and G-Dragon’s set was a little boring, but TOP’s was a little better. 승리’s remix was pretty nifty and I thought 대성 was awesome :D

Check Part 01 and 02 on YouTube. I think the whole performance was just marred by sloppy dancing and some less than perfect singing.

진선 just showed this to me and there was no way I wasn’t going to post it :D [Do be prepared for it to take a while to load for those outside Asia] She had told me that there had been a performance of it at their festival but this is my first time seeing it. It takes place at 홍익대 and apparently the girls made their own costumes and mic stands. I only wish I could have been there to see it in person ^^ I haven’t really been downloading any of the ‘Nobody’ performances which I suddenly feel quite guilty about so maybe I should go and get some of those .tp files floating around.

Oh, and here’s a little something for the ladies. Anyone who says Korean students are all work and no play needs to watch this ;)

I challenge anyone to say I am not a kick-ass teacher after I tell you that the CD and poster is what I gave one of my favourite middle school students for his birthday today :D He bought me a 빅뱅 for my birthday and I thought it only right that I return the favour. I wanted to buy him the new 소녀시대 album but they’re too busy being ditsy on Factory Girl. He was really pleased with it and all the other boys in the class were jealous when he opened the poster. It was my first time seeing it and all I’ll say is that I might buy the CD just for the poster XD

I’ll start off by saying that this has far too much JYP in it D: It’s a long MV and there’s a lot of JYP and not enough of the girls themselves. However, seeing as it’s such a good day for new MVs and the song is really good, I won’t hold a grudge.

I wasn’t sure if the song would be addictive in the same way ‘Tell Me’ and ‘So Hot’ are but I can see it doing really well. Also, their style has grown on me and I’m looking forward to seeing them perform live. Thankfully, we won’t have to worry about JYP running around then :P
