Cathy gave me my birthday presents early today :D I knew she was giving me something because we had discussed it last week but I was still so pleased to get it ^^ She gave it to me in a bag and inside was a pencil case, a fan and a phone charm. Each of them sporting a traditional look.

Jennifer and Catchy also mentioned another present which is to come on Thursday and they said it would be amazing o_O

Two new phone straps purchased today :D First up is my Anycall Man who I have named Tablo and then there is my pet giraffe after my Default Random Word.

I forgot to bring my Nikon with me today. I failed D: This is the reason there aren’t many pictures today but we did still have a nice walk around 광화문. The day actually started with a trip to Smoothie King to plan out where we were going. Once we got to 광화문, we went to Hot Tracks where I bought two new phone charms and we had a look at some music.

For lunch we ate at KFC which was immense because it’s the first burger and fries I’ve been in Korea XD We sat by 청계천 for a while and then when we were finished letting the wind blow any sense of style out of our hair we decided to try out TOM N TOMS. I was pleasantly surprised but still prefer Starbucks, although the addition of cinnamon to their menu wouldn’t go amiss.

After we were done we went to sit down by 청계천 again and dip our feet in the water. It was nice to just sit and talk for a while and rest our feet. We also outlined our plans for the next time we meet, which consists of a trip to a park and lots of stupid poses. Be ready :D

Meeting students outside of the academy is definitely worth it as today’s haul proves :D I picked up some caramel cake from Suzie who I saw with her mother on Sunday outside Home Plus. She’s outrageously adorable and she will definitely break some hearts when she’s older.

The second gift was a plum from Emily and her mother who I just saw on my way home from work just now. She said hello and then her mother gave her a plum to give to me ^^

You’ll also notice the blue Mickey Mouse phone charm that Elisha gave me. She gave me a red one yesterday but asked if she could change it this afternoon. I’m not fussed what colour is but I know I want to have more phone charms :P

I sent of my criminal record check to The Legalisation Foreign & Commonwealth Office today to be apostilled before sending it and all my other paperwork to JungChul Academy. It’s annoying that I’m waiting on yet another thing to come back from somewhere before I can get it all over to them but there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve sent it super first class and given them extra money for it to be sent back super quickly as well so it’s just a matter of waiting *sighs* >>

In other news, I thought I would take a picture of new mobile phone strap that I got from a vending machine thing in Japan. It ended up costing me about 600 yen because I had 6 tries at grabbing it using the claw but it was obviously worth it. It’s a Nobuta-esque pig :D

I can’t wait to get a new mobile when I get to Korea because I’m using my back up phone that’s a few years old. There’s nothing really wrong with it but I just want a nice shiny one and after checking the NTT DoCoMo models in Japan it just looks rubbish :P At least the phone strap takes your attention away from it ;)
