100일

Today is 서영 and my 100일 Anniversary :) It also happens to be Halloween too which is a little odd but it hardly makes much difference here. We can’t spend the day together because of the distance and our work schedules but we’ll definitely talk on the phone later. As for the picture, this is what I got this morning as a present from 서영 :D She sent me a food parcel and some candy for the students. I’ll make sure they appreciate it :P
I don’t really want to be soppy on my blog because a lot of other people read it, but it’s a special occasion.
[TEASER] 손호영 - I Know

This is the MV teaser for 손호영’s new album, ‘Returns’ and title song, ‘I Know’. It’s by far the best song on the album and my favourite so I was happy to see him start performing this on KBS Music Bank and SBS Inkigayo.
This post is mostly for 서영, my girlfriend because she confessed her love for 손호영 yesterday and I thought this might give her some energy for the next week ^^ It does mean I move down another position on her every growing list of ‘Favourite People’ though XD

I want this phone so much and it’s not because of the heart on the front XD Because 서영 and I are such a soppy and romantic couple, we think it would be cool to have matching phones and the special ‘couple charge’…yea, I know. I didn’t expect to be this way either but it just sort of happened. Don’t look at me like that… :P

[27/28] Weekend in full

I was too tired last night to write this up so I thought I’d bundle yesterday and today together in one big post.
Saturday 27th
Yesterday I travelled to 분당 early to meet 서영 at her school. Once again I was looking right at her but managed to miss her ^^” We haven’t seen each other for about three weeks so it was great to see her again and she was looking really good. We walked on to the bus stop and took it to 교보 Bookstore where we each bought MIROTIC [she gave me her poster, so I have two now :D], some books for her and some cards for one of my students’ birthday.
We were both a little hungry so we went to Minto Cafe and got some lunch. It was nice to spend some time together in a quiet place and just talk about things. In fairness, not a lot of talking happened as we were eating but when we were done, we went to the local Movie Room and ‘relaxed’. We watched two movies and I thought they were both rubbish. I wasn’t really paying attention but I would have preferred some other background noise :P
After two hours + an extra hour, we went to meet 주성, a friend from school and her partner in class. He was tall and friendly and although 서영 was useless at helping along the conversation, we had a good time over dinner. I’m really glad she has some good friends to help her out at school and be there for her when I can’t. It makes me feel a lot better and I hope I communicated that to him.
You’ll notice in the above picture that there have been two new additions to my wall. Obviously, there is the MIROTIC poster from my album purchase but also the 빅뱅 poster that my wonderful girlfriend acquired for me ^^ As I mentioned earlier, I have a second MIROTIC poster but I think it would be greedy to put it up. I’ll give it to one of my students I think.
Sunday 28th
I allowed myself two extra hours of sleep this morning because I was shattered when I came in last night and seeing as I have no plans today I thought it was OK. I had left everything where dropped it when I came in last night so I set about tidying the apartment after my morning Internet round up and went to inspect my leaking boiler. My previous apartment had a dodgy boiler too as I’ve written about before and I love to know what I do to make them break >_< Anyway, I had to move some of the furniture that was here when I moved in away from the boiler because it was getting soaked. My plan to put it on the roof to dry was almost thwarted when I realised how heavy the furniture was but using my immense strength and tactical cunning, I managed to get it up the ladder and onto the roof.
I went to the Lotte Super to get some food for the day and then threw in the washing when I got back. I still have some tidying to do out in the terrace and I have to mop the kitchen floor, but these can wait until I’ve had some time to finish listening to MIROTIC…oh, I just have :D
MIROTIC
I had read a comment this morning saying that there were perhaps too many love songs on the album so I was a little worried but my musical tastes have changed quite a bit and I was willing to give it a fair run. Well, there are a lot of slower tracks but I think they’re pretty good and the whole album has a nice feel to it. I definitely would have liked to see some more exciting tracks in there but I guess they’re still working off that Japanese vibe. I knew they should have released some digital singles before this album to get rid of any trace of their Japanese style but never mind. On to the performances! :D
Hanbok Happiness

At first I wanted to keep this for myself but she said it was OK to share. Hmm, I should write something else but, “squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” XD
She is wearing her sister’s 한복 and her sister also did her hair for her. I can only hope I’ll be able to see her in person wearing one at some point and then I’ll take some more pictures. I really like these on girls but am not a big fan of the male versions :P
[서영] Another day in 분당

I visited 서영 again today and it was really good to see her again after being corpse-like last weekend. We met at the usual place and today she had a friend with her. I know how to say her name but I won’t write it here in case I make a mistake T_T”
We went to Kyobo for her to pick up some more study materials and for me to buy leaving cards for Max and Sunny from work. Sunny is off to start her own academy and Max has to do his military service starting in October. They’re both leaving on September 5th so I’ll ask on Monday about the plans for going out.
The three of us went to Pizza Hut to have some lunch and then her friend left for home. We headed to a movie room where we watched Phantom of the Opera. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but I wish I had managed to watch more than I did. After our 2 hours were up we went to Starbucks where I noticed that 서영 was really tired. I knew she was tired, but she was having trouble keeping her eyes open.
She had a piano lesson at 8pm so after we were done I told her she was going to go to the school early and take a nap before her lesson. I got her a taxi and sent her on her way. She was upset that I couldn’t stay longer but I’m worried about her health these days and she was cream-crackered so I think it was for the best.
I also bought 윤하’s new album, Someday. I’d already listened all the tracks and was pretty amazed that I liked almost every song on there, but more impressive, was the cover art. She looks stunning in every picture and the poster is gorgeous :D
I wasn’t expecting to buy this really but after I saw the poster and thought about listening to Gossip Boy in VBR, I couldn’t resist XD
Couple Selca

Here are the promised pictures from my previous post. I thought there would be more but maybe they’ll come later. Could it possibly be that I have improved in my selca taking?! I don’t think I look like a complete dork in these pictures and I think they’re actually pretty cute ^^ There will be much cam whoring next weekend so watch out for that :P
[서영] 내 생일

Yesterday was my birthday date with 서영 in 분당. As always, I failed to spot the person I’m meeting and she surprised me. We walked to 교보 Bookstore to pick up some study material for her and to look for a birthday gift for a student of mine. After we got the books, we moved onto Vikings Seafood Buffet for some lunch. We had planned to get there early to take advantage of a ‘Couple Event’ but apparently the event had ended. 서영’s sister, 서정 said she was going to come and pick out a birthday present for their mother so we finished our food and went to wait.
서영 said that she’d probably be late so we decided to wait in a coin 노래방. We were in there for about 20 - 30 minutes and only managed to sing one song before we went to meet 서정 at the Samsung Plaza. I had seen pictures of her sister before so I kind of new what to expect but was still surprised when I saw her. Apparently 서영 takes after her father and 서정 after her mother which explains why they don’t really look alike, but are still both really pretty. They also have very different personalities and tastes which made me laugh XD
서정 happens to be a absolute genius when it comes to ’selca’ so while we sat in Holly’s Coffee and ate my birthday cake, she gave me some pointers. I want to practice but despite the awesomeness of the Haptic, it doesn’t have selca capabilities. Will I have to buy a new phone? Hmm… Anyway, there are more pictures from both their phones which I will post up when I get them :)
After we were done, we looked around for some flowers, then I bought some new shoes then we parted company with 서정 and went to the practice room. We spent about 2 hours together just being close and it was a perfect end to the day. I hated having to leave but after a busy couple of days, I was starting to feel the strain and needed some rest.
Thanks to everyone who’s actively participated in my birthday or just sent me a message wishing me a happy birthday. It means a lot to me :)
[서영] ‘Studying’ in 분당

I met with 서영 again yesterday at her practice rooms where she goes to study and practice her piano. The bus driver failed me by not telling me when we arrived at my stop despite the message I showed him >> No panic though. I just got off the bus and got the same bus going back in the other direction. 서영 came out to meet me and we walked back to her practice rooms. On the way we saw her friend, Lego who she’s told me a lot about. Hopefully, I’ll get to meet her properly some time.
She was supposed to study/practice while I studied from my Korean book. We had wanted to get a book out of the library for me but she forgot her card so we couldn’t. For the first hour at least, she practiced and I studied a little but after that it went downhill when we started being ‘couple-y’. I met her friend Dan who you can see in the check shirt at the piano and after a while we decided to head out for lunch at Outback Steakhouse. It was great and we had a good time together. Dan was really nice and I understand why 서영 talks about her a lot ^^
After we finished, Dan had to go for a lesson so 서영 and I got on a bus back to the practice rooms. This time, not much studying got done at all which is definitely my fault >>

I left an hour and a half late because of the aforementioned couple-y goings on but I didn’t care. It’s going to be hard to wait until August 16th when we see each other again but yesterday was special so I think it will be OK. Oh, and you can see a picture of her above. I hope that will keep my friends from attacking me XD
Summer Vacation
July 30th, 2008
Summer Vacation is here but this year I will have to be content with just five days. As of now I have plans for two of those days and today is written off as a ‘relaxation day’ but maybe I can make some plans for the weekend. There are a few more people that I speak to online but haven’t managed to meet up with yet, so maybe I can hook up with one of them.
On Thursday I will meet with 서영 in 분당 again. She’ll have to study so I’m going to take the time to study up on some Korean. Just spending time with her is enough, regardless of how we spend it. We’ll grab some lunch and I think I’ll be meeting one or more of her friends. I’m definitely a little nervous about that but she says I don’t have to be >> We might grab some dinner before I head home, but I don’t know yet. We’ll see how it goes.
Friday is a planned meet with 진선 but we don’t know where yet. The only thing we do know for sure is that I’m to bring my Nikon but I’m not allowed to use it at all. She will have sole control of it for the whole day o_O I said I wanted to take some more pictures of us outside but she says I don’t let her take pictures usually, so this time she’ll be in charge and make sure we get some better shots. Look out for those :P
Oh, and the picture is just there because the Starbucks Mint Mocha Frappuccino is amazing and it rocks my socks. I just wish I could get them in bigger sizes because there just isn’t enough in one of these bottles…
