I went shopping with 진선 yesterday and it was awesome fun as always. We took a lot of pictures of each other [read: mostly me] with our phones and there were actually some pretty decent pictures of me. We spent time in UNO, Smoothie King and Starbucks so there was plenty of time to take pictures. It was in Starbucks where we opened my new Korean book that I will talk about in another post. We were looking and came across a page with some example birthdays and 진선 noticed that the first was hers and then I realised the second was mine. Freaky XD You can see it in the middle picture, second row.

Obviously we did some shopping too. I personally managed to buy some shirts, some shoes, a t-shirt, a jumper and some trousers, and could have bought a lot more. I’m looking forward to the weather actually turning cold so I can buy some jackets and jumpers. Anyway, please look through the pictures and the gallery because this might be the only chance you get to see a moderately handsome Alex…and something resembling a zombie from Resident Evil XD

And as an extra surprise, look what 진선 have me :D It’s the poster from Epik High’s new LOVESCREAM mini album and it’s awesome [mostly because of Tukutz]. I think a caption competition is in order so anyone who sees this post can take part :D Mine is below:

Today I went to see Bangkok Dangerous with 태진 and 천진. We had to wait around a little beforehand so we played a little in the arcade and I kicked some ass on Initial D. Matt, I get this strange feeling I might be needing some Eurobeat soon :P Baskin Robbins was the next port of call and I had an ice-cream that I forget the name of. It was awesome though. The movie itself was quite different from what I expected but was still a good watch. Nicholas Cage’s hair really bugged me though :P

After we finished, we went to eat shabu shabu which was delicious and if I hadn’t still been feeling the effects of last night, I would have eaten a lot more. We decided against dessert and instead headed to Starbucks. After that it was back on the bus and back home.

And here are some little bits I wanted to say but didn’t want to put in a new post:

Go and watch ‘NEWS - Happy Birthday’ now because it is too fantastic to miss. Definitely sounds more like an 嵐 song but I’m looking forwards to live performances.

I visited 서영 again today and it was really good to see her again after being corpse-like last weekend. We met at the usual place and today she had a friend with her. I know how to say her name but I won’t write it here in case I make a mistake T_T”

We went to Kyobo for her to pick up some more study materials and for me to buy leaving cards for Max and Sunny from work. Sunny is off to start her own academy and Max has to do his military service starting in October. They’re both leaving on September 5th so I’ll ask on Monday about the plans for going out.

The three of us went to Pizza Hut to have some lunch and then her friend left for home. We headed to a movie room where we watched Phantom of the Opera. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but I wish I had managed to watch more than I did. After our 2 hours were up we went to Starbucks where I noticed that 서영 was really tired. I knew she was tired, but she was having trouble keeping her eyes open.

She had a piano lesson at 8pm so after we were done I told her she was going to go to the school early and take a nap before her lesson. I got her a taxi and sent her on her way. She was upset that I couldn’t stay longer but I’m worried about her health these days and she was cream-crackered so I think it was for the best.

I also bought 윤하’s new album, Someday. I’d already listened all the tracks and was pretty amazed that I liked almost every song on there, but more impressive, was the cover art. She looks stunning in every picture and the poster is gorgeous :D

I wasn’t expecting to buy this really but after I saw the poster and thought about listening to Gossip Boy in VBR, I couldn’t resist XD

Summer Vacation is here but this year I will have to be content with just five days. As of now I have plans for two of those days and today is written off as a ‘relaxation day’ but maybe I can make some plans for the weekend. There are a few more people that I speak to online but haven’t managed to meet up with yet, so maybe I can hook up with one of them.

On Thursday I will meet with 서영 in 분당 again. She’ll have to study so I’m going to take the time to study up on some Korean. Just spending time with her is enough, regardless of how we spend it. We’ll grab some lunch and I think I’ll be meeting one or more of her friends. I’m definitely a little nervous about that but she says I don’t have to be >> We might grab some dinner before I head home, but I don’t know yet. We’ll see how it goes.

Friday is a planned meet with 진선 but we don’t know where yet. The only thing we do know for sure is that I’m to bring my Nikon but I’m not allowed to use it at all. She will have sole control of it for the whole day o_O I said I wanted to take some more pictures of us outside but she says I don’t let her take pictures usually, so this time she’ll be in charge and make sure we get some better shots. Look out for those :P

Oh, and the picture is just there because the Starbucks Mint Mocha Frappuccino is amazing and it rocks my socks. I just wish I could get them in bigger sizes because there just isn’t enough in one of these bottles…

Here is my account of today’s meet with 진선 at 압구정 and 강남역. It is in the usual chronological, but ‘all over the place’ format with lots of pictures.

We started our day with a little bus ride and then grabbed a spot of breakfast. It was actually one of the greatest yoghurt fruit things I’ve ever tasted and I will definitely go back there. Also, we had a little chance to play with the camera and low and behold, I look like a dork.

After we finished our yoghurt-y goodness we looked at some cute little shops with random bits and pieces in them. We actually have a bit of a habit of looking in these shops now but you can find some really nice things in there. I quite often have to keep my hands in my pockets just to stop myself from buying a load of useless things that I will never use.

It was lunchtime and we opted for some Phở. I will no more because I believe the name explains how good the meal was. We played with the camera some more and I even took a video that lasted about an hour, but I doubt that will ever see the light of day because it’s just us talking and being stupid :P

Another bus ride to 강남 and yet more fun with the camera. There is a picture of me with that flower in my hair but I’m yet to get that from 진선 >> No doubt she’ll put it up on her blog because she’s bad XD

We looked around some more cool shops and 진선 bought a CD. I wanted to but resisted. I did pick up a new phone charm which I think is cool.

We stopped in at Starbucks such as become a habit of ours recently. We looked around some more but soon got hungry and sat down for dinner for some traditional Korean food. The food was great but as always, my legs didn’t agree with the low table. And yes, the food was as good as it looks in the picture :P

I’m so excited about going to this :D I haven’t actually got the tickets yet but I’ll be booking them next week. If anyone else is going or knows someone who is, let me know :)

Some random pictures from my daily trip to Home Plus. Taken on my phone so excuse the quality.

1. When am I going to see any royalties from this guy clearly using my name? 2. Wang Grip XD 3. Yea, I had another ice cream >> 4. I am addicted to this stuff.

It was strange not getting off the bus at Seoul Station as usual but 진선 was waiting for me there after her exam. She walked me to her university and we looked around the garden on campus.

            

The weather was really good so we decided to walk to 신촌 instead of taking the bus, but not before I picked up a little present for one of my students whose birthday is it next Tuesday. I also picked up the three CDs and posters I wanted in one shop. Pictures to come ;) Afterwards we headed to Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up. As you can see below, we are teh dorks XD

            

We walked on to 신촌 and had a look around at some shops. The Hyundai Department Store looked appealing to us because it has air conditioning so we looked around at the clothes. 진선 found some really nice Converse trainers that she wanted and so did I but they didn’t have our sizes >> We were not amused…

            

By this time we were getting a bit hungry so we started looking for somewhere to eat spaghetti and soon found a little place. We both had carbonara and it was really good. We had an annoying waiter who kept treating me like an idiot and speaking English. I hate when they do that.

            

We walked around some more and looked at a few shops, including one where I tried on a hat XD I don’t really agree with hats but 진선 said it looked OK and that I should really get some for Summer. It started to get dark and we had been planning to go to the cinema today so we went and got tickets for Indiana Jones which was really good as it happened. I’m going to see Kung Fu Panda next weekend too. We grabbed a drink in Starbucks while we waited for the movie.

I got to Seoul Station at 11am and 진선 arrived about 10 minutes after. We headed straight for the bus to 광화문 and then walked to the CD store to look for CDs and posters. I picked up 슈퍼주니어 엠 - Me for me and 이바디 - Story Of Us for 진선.

                         

Afterwards where we had a look around the Palace Museum. I wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside so here’s some of the outside.

                         

By this time we were hungry so we walked around and found a nice little しゃぶしゃぶ restaurant. It was a really pleasant and relaxing atmosphere inside and the food was gorgeous. I ordered the food…in Korean and I was surprised at the quantity. After we thought we were finished, the waiter brought some rice over. I suggested we finish off with some ice cream, mostly because I had burnt my tongue but also because it looked so good on the table to our left. Green tea for me and yoghurt for 진선.

                          

                         

It was as we were waiting for our ice cream that 진선 showed me Nobuta 2 :D What she’s done is take a T-Money phone strap and build a mini pig around it :D

          

Next stop was 용산 to see a man about a camera which he duly fixed in double quick time and even threw in a free dust blower. I love that guy. We were feeling hot so we headed to Baskin Robbins for more ice cream. We ended up having fruit smoothies instead but it was equally good. We also spent a long time doodling in her notebook.

                    

After the break we went to the department store on the other side and had a look around the at the clothes. I saw another 빅뱅 poster so I took a shot of it and then bought myself a nice Polham t-shirt because it was endorsed by Tablo and some other K-Pop stars.

               

진선 and I sat down for a rest and took some photos of the two of us for all those whingers that complained about not seeing enough of me (you know who you are).

                    

The last stop was Starbucks for a mango and passion fruit smoothie for me and a vanilla cream frappuccino for 진선. As you can see, we did some more doodling.

                         

She walked me to the bus stop and then I headed home. It was a great day out and I can’t wait to go back to 서울 again…oh wait, that’ll be tomorrow then :D You can view the entire album at my .Mac Gallery.
