While I was waiting for 태진 this evening, one of my younger students, Joe [11 years old] was strolling round with a SHINee poster. I asked him about it and we were trying to fathom out the name of the member [sorry SHINee fans, I don't know their names D:] and then he asked me if I liked 원더걸스. I told him I did and he ran off. I was just about to leave with 태진 when he ran up to me and gave me the card above :D

The next bit is an extension of the awesome, so read on. I took the card and said, “아~ 유빈아, 사랑해~” [kidding obviously :P] and he said, in English beyond his capabilities, “Oh, Alex! Your girlfriend will be mad!” *uses fingers to make pointy devil horns* XD

My face went from O_O, to :D, to XD and then I ran away :D I wanted to hug him but he was too busy battering a friend with his SHINee poster XD

진선 just showed this to me and there was no way I wasn’t going to post it :D [Do be prepared for it to take a while to load for those outside Asia] She had told me that there had been a performance of it at their festival but this is my first time seeing it. It takes place at 홍익대 and apparently the girls made their own costumes and mic stands. I only wish I could have been there to see it in person ^^ I haven’t really been downloading any of the ‘Nobody’ performances which I suddenly feel quite guilty about so maybe I should go and get some of those .tp files floating around.

Oh, and here’s a little something for the ladies. Anyone who says Korean students are all work and no play needs to watch this ;)

I challenge anyone to say I am not a kick-ass teacher after I tell you that the CD and poster is what I gave one of my favourite middle school students for his birthday today :D He bought me a 빅뱅 for my birthday and I thought it only right that I return the favour. I wanted to buy him the new 소녀시대 album but they’re too busy being ditsy on Factory Girl. He was really pleased with it and all the other boys in the class were jealous when he opened the poster. It was my first time seeing it and all I’ll say is that I might buy the CD just for the poster XD

Also, if you like 80s music, or even if you don’t, watch this and laugh.

I’ll start off by saying that this has far too much JYP in it D: It’s a long MV and there’s a lot of JYP and not enough of the girls themselves. However, seeing as it’s such a good day for new MVs and the song is really good, I won’t hold a grudge.

I wasn’t sure if the song would be addictive in the same way ‘Tell Me’ and ‘So Hot’ are but I can see it doing really well. Also, their style has grown on me and I’m looking forward to seeing them perform live. Thankfully, we won’t have to worry about JYP running around then :P

Hooray! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Special Stage is one of Korea’s finest achievements. I couldn’t help but laugh while watching it and I even warmed a little to that 2AM guy whose name I don’t know :D

Oh, and for people who say that the show was 빅뱅 biased, well of course it was. They are currently the industries leading stars and have just released their latest mini album. God help us when 동방신기 start doing the rounds again :D

Yes, that’s my new copy of Esquire, turned to The Big Bang Style editorial, about to drink a cup of T.O.P. You know you’re immersed in your fandoms when you buy a brand of coffee specifically for the name ;)

Also, I came across this during my morning Internet round up and I was pretty shocked. I remembered being so excited when they would show anything Korean at all on British TV but now I’m surrounded by it ^^ Here is a link to The Wonder Girls on Virgin Media. Only small but still awesome.
